  1. Scroll areas in prototypes

    Make your prototypes scroll in any direction — from a simple row of cards, to a full size map. Set up scroll areas in seconds and adjust them right on the Canvas.

  2. Hover, press and toggle triggers

    We’ve added new hover and press interactions, alongside the classic tap/click. Use these to trigger overlays, or even hide or show specific layers (that’s also new with this update). There’s also a new toggle option to show and hide a layer or overlay with each click or tap.

  3. View prototypes at Full Width

    You can now preview your prototypes at Full Width, making them automatically span to fit the whole browser window — even when you resize it.

  4. New sharing options for prototypes

    We’ve made it easier to hide hints and hotspots when sharing prototypes. There’s also a new sharing option that removes toolbars and navigation for a more focused, client-friendly experience.

  5. Add comments to prototypes

    You can now can view and add comments while playing prototypes — right in the web browser — with no need to switch back to the design. Great for gathering feedback without interrupting anyone’s flow.

  6. Refreshed web app UI

    We’ve refreshed our web app’s UI, making it easier to navigate and helping you focus more on what matters — your designs. We’ve removed the sidebars, making more space for the full Canvas view, while keeping all the tools close at hand.

  7. Inspect from full Canvas view

    You can now inspect designs in the web app with all the context that comes from the full Canvas view. Open up a design in your browser, click the Inspect icon and select whatever you need, right on the Canvas.

  8. Export Design Tokens

    In addition to Color Tokens, you can now export Layer Styles and Text Styles as Design Tokens — right from the web app. You can download your design tokens, or create an always-up-to-date public link for them.

  9. Pin documents and projects

    Pin important documents and projects to the top of the sidebar in the web app and Workspace window in the Mac app. Pinned items are personal to you, so you can use them in whatever way suits your workflow best.

  14. Better sorting and filtering

    When you’re browsing or searching for documents in the web app, you can now filter the view to show only documents with prototypes or documents you can edit. Within projects, you can ungroup collections to display all documents individually in your results. We’ve also added a new sorting feature, to help you organize your documents by name, date created, or last updated. Whichever you choose, you can sort your results in ascending or descending order.

  15. New sharing modal

    We‘ve redesigned our sharing modal to give you more control over what you share inside and outside your Workspace. Instead of a combined list, we’ve split access settings into three tabs, giving you a quick overview of what you’re sharing, where, and with whom. This update also lets you invite Guests to projects as Viewers, making it easier to share your work with people outside the Workspace.

  16. Dark mode

    We’ve enabled dark mode in the web app. You can choose between Light or Dark or have the web app match your system settings. To try it out, open your Account menu (that shows your profile image) at the bottom of the left sidebar, then select an option from the Appearance menu.
